Mahidol University

Mahidol University is a public research university in Thailand. It was established in 1888 as Siriraj Hospital, and later became the University of Medical Sciences in 1943. It was renamed Mahidol University in 1969 by King Bhumibol Adulyadej in honor of his father, Prince Mahidol Adulyadej, who is known as the “Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health of Thailand.” Mahidol is particularly renowned for its health sciences, medicine, and public health programs.
